Our Rea family beach vacation was another awesome week of sun, fun, family time, pool time, porch time, dinners in, dinners out, and some great relaxation. We added two “official” members of the family this year: baby Reef, who was born in October, and Ian, who married Karen in November.
As my sister put it on her blog: 1 family, 2 houses, 26 people, and lots of porch time!
We really enjoyed being there with everyone, and getting to spend time together as we continue to expand and grow. We are so blessed to have such a close-knit family with so much love.
It’s hard to explain the history behind our week at the beach (going strong for 35+ ? years), but needless to say, I have only missed one summer in 29 years, and we have spent the majority of years at the same place: Ocean Isle Beach. It’s an incredible tradition (branching down from two special people), and something that not very many people get to experience. Even as things change and our family evolves, it’s one from which only gratitude can overflow from its blessings. I cannot wait to bring our child into a family of such love, devotion, and faith.
Here is just a bit of what our week consisted of this year…
Time spent with our nephews and little cousins…
… and Carolina blue toes.
