National Adoption Day!

Two things that are exciting about tomorrow:

We leave for a weeklong vacation to Mexico for Thanksgiving with Trey’s family (right back to the same place where Trey and I honeymooned — woo-hoo!), AND it’s National Adoption Day!!!

Since we’ll be leaving our place and heading to the airport tomorrow by 4am, I didn’t want to let this day slip by…

Remember to lift up all the waiting families, the birthparents, and especially all the children around the world who are right now in the process of coming together through adoption.

I had someone ask me the other day how they could pray for us, and I realized I haven’t done the best job of posting specific requests.  So for us right now, here are a few things we’d be honored to have you include in your prayers (besides what’s already listed in our FAQ’s)

  • A restful, wonderful, quality time with family this week, remembering the fullness of our many blessings as we pause to give thanks.
  • Continued trust in God’s provision for the selling of our condo so we can move into a house, along with the timing of our adoption.
  • That we would make intentional time for putting together our profile book when we get back.  (Typically, I’d be all over this already; I love pictures, and I love putting stuff like this together.  But something about what it is seems a bit intimidating and overwhelming.)
  • Discernment on how best to navigate this season where we know when the waiting will begin but not how long it will be…

Thanks and love to you all!  Have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving!!!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” ~James 1:17
