“[Love] is not self-seeking… Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things…” (1 Cor. 5,7)
Domestic Infant Adoption
- Every year in America, about 47% of all pregnancies are unplanned.
- Of those pregnancies… nearly half end in abortion.
- (That is 1.3 million abortions every year in the U.S.)
- In what has to be the most impossibly difficult decision, every year approximately 25,000 courageous women not only choose life for their babies but also choose to make an adoption plan if parenting is not possible (for a variety of reasons). Finding a forever family for each child (as opposed to these children entering the foster-care system or other possible alternatives) is why domestic infant adoption exists.
We believe in family preservation when at all possible and best. Bethany Christian Services works tirelessly in family preservation (worldwide), and when connecting with mothers here in the States, they are absolute advocates of these women – providing counseling and services to them whether she chooses to make an adoption plan through Bethany or not. We stand by the philosophy of Bethany to find a family for every child (not the other way around). We are greatly humbled to be a part of this process, and in all our lacking, ever-sharpening knowledge, absolutely consider ourselves the blessed ones.
